Pallet Wrapping

Automated Pallet Wrapping.
Dock-Ready.

Stretch-wrap cells that consistently wrap, label, and stage finished pallets running directly from the palletizer to the dock without operator intervention.

Automate NOW · pallet wrapping
01 / Why It Matters

The wrap is where loads fail.

Most pallet damage in transit traces back to inconsistent wrap. Manual wrapping is one of the most variable steps on the floor: film tension, layer count, and corner coverage shift between operators and shifts. Automated pallet wrapping locks all three in, reducing transit damage and film waste across every shift.

  • Consistent film tension and a programmable wrap profile by SKU
  • Fewer transit-damage chargebacks, lower film cost per pallet
  • Zero capital outlay, with 24/7 support and 100% maintenance included

02 / Inline Integration

Palletizer to dock, untouched.

The wrap cell sits directly downstream of the palletizer on a powered conveyor. Wrap profile auto-selects based on pallet ID; a label printer applies the bill of lading (BOL). The pallet shows up at the dock door already shipping-ready.

  • Compatible with direct conveyor handoff from palletizer or AMR drop-zone; no operator intervention between wrap and dock
  • Auto-select wrap profile from pallet ID or SKU
  • Inline print-and-apply labeling option
  • Throughput up to 60 pallets/hour, profile-dependent

FAQ

Pallet wrapping questions.

How does automated wrapping cut transit damage?
Most pallet damage traces back to inconsistent wrap: film tension, layer count, and corner coverage that drift between operators and shifts. The cell locks all three into a programmable profile per SKU, so every pallet leaves wrapped the same way. The result is fewer transit-damage chargebacks and lower film cost per pallet.
Can it run inline with our palletizer?
Yes. The wrap cell sits directly downstream of the palletizer on a powered conveyor or takes a handoff from an AMR drop-zone. The wrap profile auto-selects by pallet ID, and a printer applies the bill of lading, so the pallet reaches the dock shipping-ready with no operator in between.
What pallet sizes and throughput does it handle?
Pallets from 36×36 to 48×48 inches (custom export sizes available), stack heights up to 96 inches, and throughput up to 60 pallets per hour depending on the wrap profile. Film runs 60-250% pre-stretch at one to six programmable layers.
Is there any capital cost, and what's included?
There's zero capital outlay. One monthly fee covers the wrapper, conveyor, labeling hardware, wrap-profile programming per SKU, installation, 24/7 monitoring, and all maintenance and parts, with performance SLAs written into the agreement.
Can we track wrap performance across shifts?
Yes. The cell logs wrap cycle data by pallet, including film usage, layer count, and cycle time. That data surfaces in Formic Production Intelligence so you can compare performance across shifts, flag drift, and document consistency for retailer compliance requirements.
